Whether your business is a new startup or you have been in business for some years, one thing that is crucial to an entrepreneur is that your business must grow!
Why? Because if your business is not growing, then it is likely that your competitors will surpass you or your business will be heading southwards. The problem for business owners or CEOs of Small Medium Entreprises (SMEs) is that if your business is not growing you run the risk of being 'eaten up' by bigger companies that have more resources and scale to drive you out of your own market. Or your smaller competitors may 'outgrow' you and eat up your market share.
The best counter measure is to focus on strategies and leadership to expand your business to stay ahead.
Boyd Au has grown his company from scratch to a public-listed company that achieve sales close to $80 million and marketed his products to more than 25 countries in a span of 23 years. His experiences included building a strong brand name for his products in a highly-competitive industry and developed a culture of innovation within his own organisation.
You will hardly find a proven entrepreneur who not only have the experiences and knowledge that is qualified to teach such a topic but also one who is so willing to spare time and effort to share his secrets to his success.

Alex Loo , Founder & Managing Director
Global Semicon Technology Pte Ltd
“Boyd comes across as a really humble, practical and easy going person despite his illustrious background, one who has built a public listed company from scratch…
…He has suggested simple but proven methods like ‘trade journaling’ to ensure proper and timely follow up with all enquiries. He has also helped me regain much, the confidence which I lost when business went bad in 2007 as I lost my focus in running my core business by diversifying too eagerly and committing my limited resources to new products…. With Boyd’s guidance and mentoring, my sales increased 400%, from 6 figures to 7 figures, all within a year!”
Michael Tham , Founder & Director
Boaz Consulting Group Pte Ltd
“A good business mentor is not one who only tells you all the dos and don’ts based on his experiences but one who listens to you and offer advice that is highly relevant to your business needs…
… His selfless commitment to impart business skills and his passion to guide and see young entrepreneurs soar had put him in a position where he became instrumental to my bringing the business to the next level.”
Gary Yong, Founder & Executive Director

Boyd is also mentoring his daughter, Claire, to be a successful entrepreneur. Claire, a Singapore Management University (SMU) graduate, left her marketing job with a major fast-moving consumer goods company and aims to set up a chain of 15 fish-soup stalls.
Currently ‘Kings Fish Soup’ in ABC Brickworks Market, serves fish soup with traditional Cantonese Soup recipe.
However, the business is not all about making money but also has a social objective of hiring disadvantaged people such as ex-offenders and part of the profits are channeled to church work. Claire works with Christian and grassroots organizations to provide free meals to old residents who live alone
